In the research laboratory at the Clinic for Visceral and Transplant Surgery, there are several on-going clinical and experimental projects dealing with questions concerning pancreas carcinomas, acute pancreatitis and chronic pancreatitis.
The treatment plans of patients with pancreatic tumors are discussed regularly at our interdisciplinary “Tumor Board” (a board of interdisciplinary experts) in order to determine the best possible therapy procedures. These are based on the type of and location of the tumor.
